My Story

I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of The Lost Dogs' Home and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Run Melbourne 2015. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about The Lost Dogs' Home, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!

The Lost Dogs' Home is a non-profit animal welfare organisation whose mission is to serve the community and enhance the welfare of dogs, cats and other animals, in a quality environment, by alleviating animal suffering and reducing the number of lost, injured and unwanted animals.

Every dollar helps and by donating you are helping unwanted cats and dogs become ready for a new life. Your donations will offset some of the costs of medical treatment, training and the cost of getting our animals ready for adoption.

$30.00 - The Gift of Going Home
Our number one mission is to return all missing pets to their owners and therefore all our cats and dogs are microchipped and given a National Pet Register pet ID tag prior to going up for adoption. Your donation of $30 will mean more of our cats and dogs will have a return ticket home if they ever get lost.

$60.00 - Manners Maketh The Dog
We see so many dogs surrendered or abandoned due to ‘behavioural issues’ — the main issue being that they have never been properly socialised or trained! A donation of $60 will assist the Home in providing two dogs or puppies with free post adoption training sessions with our expert trainers, ensuring a bond is created right from the start.

$100.00 - Help End Overpopulation
By desexing a cat or dog, you are helping end the continuous cycle of unwanted companion animals coming through Australia’s shelters. Every animal adopted through the Home must be desexed and with a donation of $100, you can help even more cats and dogs become ready for adoption and their new lives.

$250.00 - Animal Emergency Treatment
With more animals coming into our shelters in need of specialised care, such as dentals, patella surgery and emergency treatment, our shelter hospital costs are reaching an all time high. A donation of $250 will help offset some of this cost, so we can provide more special needs animals with treatment prior to being adopted.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
